Ik denk dat dat ook te maken heeft met een stukje onbekendheid met de materie in de betreffende groep.
Hetzelfde zie je ook bij sport. Las gisteren een artikel (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/ ... /index.htm" target="_blank) en dan komen ze weer met Renée Richards aanzetten als voorbeeld van een transpersoon in de sport. Maar dat was nota bene 1975...

Nu nog controversieel en levert het stevige discussies op, hopelijk kijkt men er over 20 jaar heel anders tegenaan en is het niet behandelen de uitzondering en wellicht roept dat de discussie op.
Uiteindelijk heeft het denk ik ook te maken met zichtbaarheid. Veel transen gaan uiteindelijk op in de massa, dat willen de meesten toch en met een beetje geluk lukt dat op termijn wel, zonodig met een operatie. Dit in tegenstelling tot de LGb, die blijven zichtbaar waardoor er ook veel meer rolmodellen zijn.

Ligt natuurlijk ook aan het feit dat het een bekend persoon is. Als een beroemdheid een relatie krijgt/breekt, of een verkeersboete oploopt, is dat al nieuws.
