Tja, ik vind dit toch wel een akelige mening hoor. Wordt ook niet als mening gepresenteerd:

Ook gebrekkig engels in aanmerking nemend kan ik niet anders concluderen dan dat dit weinig begrip van alles wat de transgenderproblematiek omvat aan de dag legt. En dan druk ik me heel voorzichtig uit. Het is een idee waar we eindelijk van af zijn, en nog niet eens zo lang. Niet de film brengt ons schade toe zoals Maria_G stelt, maar het denkbeeld dat we niet goed bij ons hoofd zijn. En dat is het hellend vlak waar Maria_G zich op begeeft met deze uitspraak. Als we dat soort dingen voor kennisgeving aannemen zijn we straks weer terug bij af. En daarom reageer ik.

@ Maria: Als ik je tekst goed lees meen jij dat velen van ons in aanmerking zouden moeten komen voor dwangbehandeling. Ik vind dat veel te ver gaan en een te grote afstand hebben tot de doelen van dit forum. Ik vraag je daarom je mening vanaf nu op z'n minst genuanceerder weer te geven.

Ik lees/denk nog altijd dat Maria bedoelt dat als je denkt dat je helemaal geen keuze hebt (niet over de gd op zich) dat je dan niet helemaal goed functioneert... Maar goed, Engels is ook niet mijn moedertaal dus Maria, verklaar je nader aub..

En het is nooit in je opgekomen dat die persoon gewoon sterker is als jou en beter voor zichzelf opkomt zelfs in een tijd waar dat ongehoord is? Dat noem jij dan egoistisch, ik denk daar toch heel anders over.

Dus als je in een niet-begrijpende wereld leeft moet je jezelf maar verloochenen? En hulp aan LGBTs in het oosten, moeten we dat dan ook maar opgeven, onder het motto hadden ze maar niet voor zichzelf moeten kiezen? Kom nou toch.

Nou en? Denk je dat ik het zo makkelijk gehad heb? In ben ook van vóór het internet hoor. Wat geeft je het recht om jouw ervaring op de hele T-wereld te projecteren en te roepen dat wie anders is dan maar opgesloten moet worden? Iedereen hier heeft een eigen verhaal, iedereen is verschillend. En desondanks moeten we het hier samen redden, omdat we het als individu tegen de maatschappij echt niet winnen. Heus, iedereen heeft recht op een eigen mening, ook jij, maar je gaat veel en veel te ver in het verkondigen dat je het allemaal zo goed hebt gedaan. Dat heb je voor jouw situatie, daar twijfel ik niet aan, maar zoals gezegd: we zijn allemaal anders en hebben allemaal andere omstandigheden.
