We would like to bring to your attention that the Standards of Care 8 (WPATH) are now open for public comment until 16 December 2021. You can find more information here. Unfortunately, even though this is relevant for all of our members in Europe and Central Asia, the information for this process, the feedback forms, and the SOC themselves are only available in English.
As you may know, the SOC provide guidelines and recommendations that are then followed by medical institutions to develop trans-specific healthcare protocols. They have a strong influence as they set medical and ethical standards worldwide.
We strongly encourage you to participate in this process as this will very likely impact how trans-specific healthcare is delivered in your country and region.
Let's work towards the best SOC8 possible!
Best regards,

Please, know that the deadline for feedback has been extended to 16 January 2022. It is our view that the SOC8 do not comply with human rights standards and require an in-depth change. We strongly encourage you to contribute to that process. The more feedback they receive, the more chances we will all have of improving them.
Best regards,
